WHO WE ARE
IWUSA Community – Growing together
Italian Women USA (IWUSA) is the first women network and Community entirely dedicated to Italian women, and women who have lived in Italy and have an extensive knowledge of its language and culture, who now live in one of the 50 American states.
The Community was born, on March 2019, from the desire of its founder, Cornelia Pop, to connect Italian women in the US. The Community is a safe environment where Italian women can share their experiences and put their expertise at disposal.
We strongly believe in the power of sharing and joining forces. Every member offers their strengths and gets the support they need to close the gaps so that, together, we can grow and improve, personally and professionally.
OUR STORY
HOW THE COMMUNITY WAS BORN
The Community was founded in March 2019 as an Instagram page, an idea of Cornelia, who moved to New York in November 2018.
The idea behind the page was to create a hub for Italian women who live in the USA, to meet, collaborate, and network.
A Facebook group followed in September, with the aim of facilitating networking and sharing among the Community members, and create opportunities for women networking events across the USA.
The next year in July, a LinkedIn page launched, focusing on contents related to professional growth, and job hunting in the USA.
